A remote-control service
It speaks the same language as the old service: the controller and the app find it just as before. It is hosted in France.
The manufacturer has gone, and its online service and app no longer work. We have brought the Irrigation Caddy ICEthS1 back to life: a new remote-control service hosted in France, a firmware connected to this service and the Android app, installable again on recent phones.
It speaks the same language as the old service: the controller and the app find it just as before. It is hosted in France.
Identical to the original 2.0.197 firmware, with one exception: it contacts the new service instead of the old one.
The original app, installable again on recent Android versions, with many defects fixed: mixed-up zone names, program options displayed incorrectly, crashes.
A version fixed for Internet access, and a modernised version, readable on a phone and in dark mode.

Status of the controller and its zones
A program: days, start times, durations
Start watering right away
Water a single zone
Several controllers on the same account
An action taken in the app is carried out 2 to 20 seconds later. Zone names, the rain sensor, the time and the network are set in the controller web interface.
IC-W1 Wi-Fi model: we need the original firmware file supplied by the manufacturer (IC-W1-2.3.4300-firmware.zip, or image.hex). If you have kept it, mention it in your request.
You also need a Windows PC connected by cable to the same network as the controller for the update, and a controller set to DHCP (automatic address).
Access, the app and the service are free today. Should it ever become paid, it would be a small subscription, around €5 a year, to cover hosting maintenance costs, and you would be notified in advance.
The procedure is detailed step by step. If you would rather be guided through the update or installation, we can help: this assistance is not included in the free access and may be charged, on quotation.
The service is hosted in France. It stores the status and settings of your controller, your programs and the watering history. Your account password is never stored in plain text.
The app communicates in encrypted form (HTTPS). The link between the controller and the service is not encrypted: the original firmware cannot do it.
We create your account on the service, then you receive by e-mail a personal link that opens the detailed procedure and the downloads.
The link in our e-mail opens your access directly. You can also enter your code here.
Yes. It waters according to its three programs and its web interface remains reachable on your local network. Only the app and remote control depended on the discontinued service.

Yes: the firmware provided is the original one, in which only the service address changes. The update is done from a Windows PC connected by cable to the same network as the controller, with the manufacturer’s original tool.
On the test controller, no. The manufacturer did warn, however, that an update may erase settings and programs: write them down before you start.
Yes: the original firmware is among the downloads, and is restored with the same procedure.
About 2 to 20 seconds: the controller fetches its orders from the service roughly every ten seconds.
No, the app never allowed it. These settings are made in the controller web interface, on your local network; they are then sent up to the service automatically.
No, Android only.
